This holiday season we’re looking back on the eventful and exciting year that 2016 has been for Data Foundry, and as a company, we have a lot to be thankful for. We’ve seen healthy growth in the Austin and Houston markets, which has led to the kick off of the development of another data center for us in Austin, Texas 2, just one year after the completion of our Houston 2 data center. We’ve added several new managed services to our services portfolio, and we moved into a new corporate office just west of downtown Austin.
Houston 2, our largest data center to date, celebrated its first anniversary in July of this year. We’re grateful to the Houston customers that have been with us for many years. Several of them have expanded into our premier Houston 2 facility. We’re also extremely grateful to our Houston staff for their hard work and dedication. They have been our engine of growth in the Houston area.
We’re grateful to all of our customers, old and new, that have entrusted Data Foundry with their infrastructure. It’s a responsibility we don’t take lightly, and over the years we have cultivated the best team and developed world-class facilities to keep our customers connected, stable and secure with room to grow. We continue to evolve and aim to help our customers evolve through our services.
Throughout the summer and fall, we officially added several new data center services to our portfolio. Data Foundry’s infrastructure and network engineering teams have been so successful in their projects that we officially launched and promoted Structured Cabling, Network Assessment and Network Management this year. We also expanded our Cloud Services offering to better accommodate hybrid infrastructures.
In October we moved our corporate headquarters to occupy the fourth floor of an office building in Rollingwood, just west of downtown Austin. Our new space gives us plenty of room to host events, collaborate and grow.
We’re looking ahead to 2017 as we build Texas 2 on the Data Ranch in Austin. Our newest data center will be a 325,000 square foot, 36 MW-capable facility. We look forward to celebrating at a grand opening sometime in the fall of 2017 with our friends, colleagues, customers and partners!
