Data Foundry’s Newest Houston Data Center Hosted AITP Members & CIO Standup Series

May 6, 2015

Data Foundry was delighted to host the first event at the Company’s newest data center, Houston 2, which is located in North Houston. The Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) held its member meeting and the third in a series of CIO-Standup inside the Technology Briefing Center, which accommodated the 50+ attendees.

The featured speaker was David Tippet, CIO of Halcon Resources Corporation, and he discussed a variety of topics about the day-in-a-life as a CIO. He also inspired the student attendees with some guidance on climbing the corporate ladder suggesting that hard work, dedication and loyalty are best ways to make it to the C-suite. These students were then hosted to a special breakout session where they toured the Houston 2 data center and asked questions about career paths in technology.

Everyone enjoyed a catered luncheon by Pappas Restaurants (a current Data Foundry customer) and were offered to tour the data center, as well. Data Foundry is particularly fond of the AITP organization, because of its mission to bridge the gap between existing technology leaders and the next generation.
