Level 3 Plans To Bring its Fiber Network Into the Facility Prior to its Opening in Early 2015

HOUSTON – September 17, 2014 – Data Foundry, a leading provider of data center colocation and disaster recovery services, today announced that Level 3 Communications will build into Data Foundry’s Houston 2 data center. Level 3 plans to build diverse fiber entry points prior to the facility opening in the first quarter of 2015.

Data Foundry is committed to having multiple premium carrier options for Houston 2 customers. The addition of Level 3 allows customers access to its global network capabilities including its secure, high-bandwidth network. Level 3 is already a key network partner of Data Foundry and provides services at all of its global locations.

“Level 3, with its recognized expertise in networking and managed services, is a great carrier addition to Houston 2,” said Edward Henigin, CTO at Data Foundry. “Our customers will benefit from having many choices in telecommunications providers from day one at our new carrier-neutral data center.”

Houston 2 is a 350,000 square foot purpose-built data center currently being constructed in North Houston’s Greens Crossing district. With capabilities for 60 megawatts of power, the facility will have a chilled water-cooling system, a 185 mph wind-rated structure and will offer carrier-neutral network access to more than 10 On-Net fiber carriers.

The facility will open in the first quarter of 2015. For more information on Data Foundry’s Houston 2 Data Center, visit www.datafoundry.com.
