FAQs

What protocol does Data Foundry have in place if there is a confirmed COVID-19 case for a person who has accessed the data center?

Data Foundry policy is to follow CDC Recommendations for Environmental Cleaning and Disinfection for US Community Facilities with Suspected/Confirmed Coronavirus Disease 2019.

In the event of a confirmed case of the coronavirus inside a data center, will Data Foundry close the site while cleaning and disinfecting, and if so for how long?

If Data Foundry becomes aware that anyone has been at a data center who is confirmed to have COVID-19, then the areas visited by that person shall be cleaned and disinfected in accordance with CDC recommendations. Those areas shall be cordoned off until cleaning is complete, and we expect this could take up to 24 hours.

Will customers be able to enter the facility for urgent matters during the cleaning process?

For the safety of our onsite staff and our customers, during our COVID-19 cleaning protocol, only the cleaning crew will be allowed in the cordoned off area. We will maintain critical facility staff and provided the cordoned off areas does not prevent access to the facility, customer access will be allowed.

Does Data Foundry have N95 masks and hazmat suits for the persons working in Data Centers, if needed?

Data Foundry has CDC recommended personal protective equipment, including N95 respirators and disposable gloves and gowns.

How quickly will Data Foundry’s cleaning services be invoked to disinfect the data center, if needed?

We are cleaning and sanitizing all common and work areas in the site at least every 12 hours. If we need to invoke use of a 3rd party cleaning service, we expect they will be on-site and complete any deep cleaning or sanitizing within 24 hours.

What is the quarantine period to enter the facility for individuals, who are identified to be in contact with a confirmed coronavirus case subject?

Based on CDC recommendations, the quarantine period for individuals to enter any of Data Foundry facilities who have come in contact with an infected individual will be 14 days.

Will customers still have access to conference rooms and break areas?

Access to conference rooms will not be allowed until further notice. Data Foundry staff will not be allowed in any break area, which will be dedicated to customer use. It is our recommendation that customers maintain at least six feet of separation from each other while in the break room, and if possible, only have one person in the break room at a time.

How will you notify me if a confirmed case of the coronavirus in a data center?

We will e-mail all customers of a site where access is being impacted by a confirmed case. A separate e-mail will be sent to those customers that had personnel on site at any time the person with the confirmed case was also on site.

Will you identify the name of the person that was the confirmed case?

No. That person’s name will at all times be kept confidential.
